POLICE have confirmed the tragic death of a child in Mostyn following a medical emergency on Wednesday.
The Leader previously reported that North Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service were called to a medical emergency and "concern for safety" incident at an address on Ffordd Pennant on Wednesday afternoon.
Two ambulances and two rapid response vehicles attended the scene, with one person subsequently taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital.
Today, the upsetting outcome was confirmed.
A spokesman for the force said: “We were called to assist with a medical emergency at an address in Mostyn, Holywell yesterday (March 17).
“A 10-year-old boy, Callum Lloyd, was taken to hospital, but sadly died.
"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding this tragic matter.
“The coroner has been informed and the family have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”
