Three men have appeared in court in connection with an incident in Rhyl town centre earlier this week.

Magistrates in Llandudno remanded all three in custody to appear at Mold Crown Court on May 26.

Paul Lewis, 39, of Trefor Avenue, Kinmel Bay, Jake Kiernan, 24, of Brickfield Park, Rhyl, and Perry Jones, 22, of Balmoral Grove, Rhyl, are all accused of possessing a handgun and conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm to Damian Wilding on April 24.

Kiernan and Lewis also face a charge of conspiring to supply cannabis between March 5 and April 24, and Kiernan faces a court charge of possessing cannabis.

Alex Fitzgerald, for Lewis, and Craig Hutchinson, for the other two defendants, said they would be pleading not guilty to all the charges. There were no applications for bail.

A fourth man has also been charged with possessing a handgun and conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm but did not appear in court.
