A COUPLE of nurseries in Rhyl have been rated as two of the 20 best in Wales.

Summerhouse Out of School Club and Bees Knees Day Nursery made the top 20 out of 372 early-years settings in the country from leading day nursery reviews site, daynurseries.co.uk.

All of top 20 nurseries in Wales have received an award to recognise the achievement, which was based on the nursery’s reviews from its children’s families and carers.

Mandy Dickin, manager of Summerhouse Out of School Club nursery, said: “We are thrilled to be awarded once again the Top 20 Nursery award.

“This award is always extra special to us here at Summerhouse, as it is voted for by our parents and guardians.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank our parents and children for their continued support.

“It is a pleasure to play our part in their little ones’ growth.

“Also, a big thank you to our fantastic team of staff who continue to provide high standard care and learning which makes Summerhouse the home from home it is.”

Bees Knees Day Nursery added: “We are extremely happy to announce we have received the award for the Top 20 Nurseries in the whole of Wales!

“We would like to thank our amazing Bees Knees family for their hard work and dedication to providing the best outcomes we possibly can for our children.

“And particularly, to our wonderful parents for the amazing reviews that have made this possible! We’re blown away! Thank you all so much.”

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of daynurseries.co.uk, said: “Being rated so highly by family and carers of children that attend the setting is a huge achievement.

“Our award is valuable recognition from parents and carers that this nursery is offering their children an excellent standard of care and a stimulating environment, which will help boost their development and hopefully create a lifelong love of learning.

“We hope these awards give parents that much needed guidance in choosing the right nursery for their child.”

The awards are based on more than 67,000 reviews received between March 29, 2022 and March 28, 2024 from parents, relatives and guardians of children who attend the nurseries.

Nurseries were excluded from the awards if they are not compliant with the regulatory authority.
